Stunned by an App Account Suspension: My Next Steps
Written on
Chapter 1: The Unforeseen Setback
This morning, I woke up with a sense of anticipation, eager to kick off the week with renewed energy. I had meticulously crafted a plan filled with strategies and topics to explore. However, my enthusiasm was abruptly halted when I attempted to log into my account. To my shock, I discovered that my account had been suspended and was now in read-only mode.
I was at a loss for words, feeling a wave of numbness wash over me. Unsure of my next move, I refused to remain passive in the face of this challenge. I took immediate action by submitting an appeal and trying to rectify the situation.
Two hours had passed since this minor disaster struck. It seems that X (formerly known as Twitter) disapproves of having multiple accounts, especially when one of them has zero followers. This might be the culprit behind my suspension. The frustration is overwhelming, as I fear that all my hard work in building a community on this platform could be lost.
Despite this setback, I know that I can't abandon my passion for writing. I anticipate that the issue will be resolved within a week—though I secretly wish it might only take a couple of days. In the meantime, I have decided to pivot and continue honing my writing skills on Medium.
However, I am also aware that Medium has its own quirks that can hinder visibility, even with 700 followers. So, I plan to focus on creating short-form content. This could be an exciting new direction for me, emphasizing brevity while delivering meaningful stories that entertain, inspire, or educate.
I aim to make every word count to respect my readers' time. Let's see where this journey takes me…
Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts!
