Wise Me: True. But it’s still manageable.

Wise Me: Yes, that’s a possibility. And yet, it’s manageable.
Fearful Me: What if I disappoint others?
Wise Me: That’s impossible. If you don’t assist someone, it simply means they weren’t meant to be helped by you.
Fearful Me: Are you even listening? I could lose my life!
Wise Me: Yes, and you’ve faced that reality multiple times before. It shouldn’t be such a huge concern to confront it again.
Fearful Me: Are you absolutely certain? I don’t recall those previous experiences.
Wise Me: But when the moment arrives, you will. It will feel familiar, like reuniting with an old companion.
Fearful Me: You wouldn’t deceive me, would you?
Wise Me: Prove me wrong!
Fearful Me: Great, a comedian now. Should I just laugh it off?
Wise Me: Absolutely! Once you recognize how little there is to fear, you’ll find humor in this situation.
Fearful Me: My spiritual guides on Medium suggest we chose our roles before entering this life.
Wise Me: Yes, and you were already aware of that from various sources. Isn’t it reassuring to have it confirmed?
Fearful Me: Unless we’ve all merely bought into the same New Age nonsense.
Wise Me: There you go. In moments of fear, no evidence can sway you otherwise. But remember, you understand what it’s like to be in the presence of Truth. You recognize that serene certainty that renders all questions insignificant.
Fearful Me: Yes, I’ve felt that peace. Why can’t I sustain it?
Wise Me: You already know the answer.
Fearful Me: You’re going to say that my purpose is to help others feel that way.
Wise Me: Unfortunately, yes. It’s the promise you made long ago when embarking on this journey.
Fearful Me: Sometimes I doubt my ability to fulfill that role.
Wise Me: That’s good. Stay humble. But believe me, when the moment comes, you will.
Fearful Me: Will you promise to assist me?
Wise Me: You couldn’t escape me if you tried.
